Travel Diary: Alta Badia

We are back! Our ski trip to Alta Badia (South-Tyrol) was simply amazing. Perfect snow, spectacular landscape, delicious food, we had it all. So in this post we tell you a little bit about our vacation and give you some insights in what we were allowed to experience.

1st day

We arrived at our hotel on Sunday, grabbed there a snack and then went on to a beautiful stroll through Alta Badia's winter paradise.

beautiful scenery

Back in the hotel we enjoyed the sauna and relaxed in the spa area. In the evening we had a gala dinner with 7 (!!) courses. We were so full afterwards but the food was very very good. Here are some of the dishes:

chicken with grissini-crust and mashed celery
lamb on risotto
veal brawn

2nd day

We finally went skiing on the second day. In the morning it was awful, it was snowing heavily and freezing cold. But luckily the sky cleared up after we had lunch on top of the mountain in the famous Club Moritzino. There we enjoyed tagliatelle con tartufo (which were mouth-watering) and the best apple-cake we've ever had. Afterwards we did the same thing like the day before: Spa time!

holy moly was that good

3rd day

The last day we spent with doing the Sellarround. That's a huge skislope with which you can circuit a whole mountain range. We had good luck with the weather and the snow was also perfect.

We had 3 wonderful days in Alta Badia and hope to come back soon. This region is very recommendable for the whole family since the slopes are easy to ride, the food is delicious and the people are nice and welcoming. This season South-Tyrol had a lot of snow (Austria can only dream about that) and so it was even more fun skiing.

We hope you also spent some time skiing this winter and didn't forget to have a Merry Attitude!

xx,
M&A
